Koh Rong… So Right – No Shoes Required

August 31, 2015

The boat fighting itself through the waves as they smash against the sides sending a fine spray of mist through the air. People being tossed around in their seats, some running for the edge to expel the contents of their previous night in Sihanoukville. Myself, sitting relaxed, puffing my spliff, I zoned in on the … More Koh Rong… So Right – No Shoes Required

Back To The Land Of Smiles

July 23, 2015

Landing back in Suvarnabhumi, an airport I’ve been inside a handful of times. I rushed outside, this time looking to embrace that heat wave that smacks you in the face once you step out. Kai Jiao Muu Sap is a Thai omelette with ground pork. These are often a bit greasy as they are more or less shallow fried in a wok, but it's a simple combo of pork and eggs. Often times it is seasoned with fish or soy sauce, black pepper, garlic and maybe a splash of vinegar. They have a crispy outside while the inside is fluffy and of course served up on some rice. I'd generally add prik naam bplaa (chili fish sauce) and a chili sauce over top. It's a good day! .
